News of the death of mother and daughter at Chi Linh medical center: Suspicious of signs of murder, provincial police launched an investigation

On the morning of March 31, Hai Duong Provincial Police said that it was coordinating with the Chi Linh City Police to investigate the cause of death of mother and daughter while being treated for Covid-19 at the Chi Linh City Medical Center.

According to a leader of the Health Center of Chi Linh City (Hai Duong province), on March 28, the boy born in 2020 was taken to the emergency hospital with a high fever and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. . The baby’s mother, VTNB (SN 1979, now in Sao Do ward, Chi Linh city) was also positive but only had chest tightness.

After more than 1 day of treatment, the child’s fever was gone, his health was normal, and he was transferred to another area for treatment, waiting for another 5-6 days to be discharged. At that time, mother and daughter B lived with two other mother-daughter pairs.

Through extracting the hospital’s security camera, at about 5 pm on March 30, Ms. B took her child to get food and porridge and returned to her room. Not long after, this woman took her child out, walked around a few times in the hallway, and then carried her baby into the next room without the patient lying in treatment, closed the door and did not come out anymore.

At about 6 p.m. on the day, B.’s husband brought things in for the mother and daughter, called her but didn’t see her answer, so she asked the medical staff on duty at the Covid-19 treatment area to find her. However, when the medical staff went to the ward to look for her, she found out that Ms. B had not eaten yet and carried her child to unknown places.

At this time, everyone searched the area, going to each room. When B. was able to knock on the door of the room where B.’s mother and daughter came in, they discovered that B. and her son were lying unconscious on the floor, with no pulse.

Immediately after that, the leader of the Chi Linh City Medical Center asked to keep the scene, report to the police and Hai Duong Department of Health to handle the case.

The functional forces suspect that this is a suicide because of the process by which Ms. B and her child stayed in the room until the incident was discovered, no outsiders entered. At the time of admission as well as the treatment process here, Ms. B. is still normal.

Talk to PV Infonetan officer of the Hai Duong Provincial Police said: “This may be a murder, but a 2-year-old child cannot commit suicide… But that is only initial judgment, and the specific cause of the incident must be determined. waiting for the agency to investigate and clarify”.

It is known that Ms. B. has 3 children, the oldest is in 11th grade, the second is sick.
