In phase 1, members voted on two forums OTOFUN and OTOSAIGON. The organizers received nearly 315,000 votes. The 33-member Jury Council scored 45 top models in 15 segments in phase 1, the scores were converted to votes. The total number of votes for a car model is calculated at the ratio of 50:50, 50% from the community vote and 50% from the jury vote.

According to the voting results of the Jury, the title of Car of the Year 2022 belongs to Toyota Camry with a total of 17,208 votes, Kia Carnival ranked second with 14,061 votes, Hyundai Santa Fe ranked third with 12,521 votes.

Besides, the title of GREEN CAR OF THE YEAR 2022 belongs to VinFast VF e34, the title of Impressive Car of the Year 2022 belongs to Hyundai Santa Fe. The VEHICLE OF THE YEAR 2022 results were announced in Ho Chi Minh City on March 30.
