The story begins when the female driver of the car follows the navigation device. After a left turn, the car sped onto the tracks in the municipality of Vechelde, in the district of Peine in Lower Saxony, and got stuck in place, according to the state police.
Realizing the emergency situation, the 46-year-old female driver got out of the car and called for help. But just a moment later, the ICE train came and hit the car at about 160 km / h. The train driver didn’t seem to have time to react due to the darkness. The force of the collision caused the car to be crushed under the train and moved about 400 meters.
But fortunately no one was injured. After nearly 10 hours, the rescue process was completed. State police estimated the damage at $360,000.
