Born in a farming family, witnessing the hardships of his parents, Hanh always tried to study and that rise had “sweet results” when he just won the first prize of the national excellent student in Chemistry.

In the national competition for excellent students, Phan Xuan Hanh (a 12th grader in Chemistry, Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted) won the first prize in Chemistry. This is also the first first prize in Chemistry of Ha Tinh in the national competition for excellent students since its establishment. Hanh was born in a family of two brothers, his parents were farmers in Son Lam commune, Huong Son district. Despite difficult circumstances, Hanh always tries to excel in her studies.

Sharing about his studies, the male student said that when he was in middle school, Hanh had to cycle for more than ten kilometers every day to go to school, after school he returned to help his parents with farm work. The road to school with Hanh was arduous, so the young man determined that only studying could change his fate and help his parents later.

Before pursuing to conquer Chemistry, Hanh used to love Math very much. However, when I was in 8th grade, I was “failed” from the Math team because Hanh’s subject ability at that time was worse than his classmates. “Then I was selected to join the Chemistry team, I think I need to work hard to pursue this subject,” Hanh shared.

In 9th grade, Hanh won the second prize of the province in Chemistry. And at the entrance exam to Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, she made an impression and surprised many people when she became the valedictorian of the Chemistry class.

Passed into the top school of Ha Tinh, Hanh left home, away from family to go to the city to study.

In the early days, Hanh was worried, but the male student thought he came from a low score and needed to work harder than his peers. Because my parents are farmers, my background is not very well-off, so I always want to try to become the pride of my family.

In the 11th grade, Hanh participated in the national competition for excellent students and this time only won the third prize in Chemistry. Sharing about her efforts, Hanh said, when she took the 11th grade exam, she was a bit regretful because she hoped that she could do better.

But after that exam, Hanh told himself that he needed to strive, try his best to continue to try, conquer the scale, get a higher prize. After each class hour, Hanh takes the time to study at home, with the time from 10am to 2pm. In particular, I focus on studying in the evening, there are days when I study until 1-2 am because that time is quiet.

Due to the lack of conditions to buy a computer, during the preparation time for the team exam, Hanh encountered many difficulties when he had to regularly look up knowledge from the phone. In order to win a high prize in this exam, Hanh has prepared knowledge during three years of studying. Male student Ha Tinh said that for this result, it was thanks to the guidance of his teachers, the help of friends and the encouragement from his family so that he could complete the test well.

“My family is in the countryside, also farming, because of the low starting point, I have to work hard. Thanks to the thorough preparation of knowledge in 3 years of study, the help of teachers and teachers, and the encouragement of my family, I did well in the exam. I’m really happy and happy because my efforts have been achieved”, Hanh confided.

“Revealing” about the dream to pursue, Hanh said that since childhood, she aspired to be a doctor, but was confused when choosing Hanoi Medical University and Pedagogy.

“If you study Medicine, it will take about 6-9 years of studying. And studying is expensive, my family is difficult, so I’m afraid my parents won’t be able to worry,” Hanh said worriedly.

Before his son’s passion, Mr. Phan Sinh Quan (SN 1971, Hanh’s father) said that although the family is in difficulty, the economy is mainly based on agriculture, but will try to support and encourage his son. follow your dream.

Mr. Dang Dinh Hao, Chemistry review teacher, Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted said that Hanh’s family has a difficult situation, but he is a good student, rich in potential and always tries hard in his studies. With such learning results, in addition to the smart factor, it is also the hard work, perseverance and effort of Hanh.
