Japan’s “big man” NTT builds a “huge” data center in Ho Chi Minh City-Information Technology
This data center was built by NTT Japan in a joint venture with a Vietnamese enterprise.
NNT Global Data Centers HCMC1 (HCMC1), a joint venture between NTT Global Data Centers (NTT GDC, a part of NNT Corporation of Japan) and QD.TEK (belonging to GREENFEED Vietnam Corporation) will build a “huge” data center at NNT Global Data Centers HCMC1 (HCMC1). This project will be located in Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park (Saigon Hi-Tek Park), 15km from the city center and is expected to officially come into operation in 2024. According to the plan, the 5-storey building of the company HCMC1 will provide a total of 6MW of critical load capacity for IT equipment to a server area with a “huge” 3,100 square meter area.2 (equivalent to 1,200 racks).
“With backup power, air conditioning, media, disaster response measures and tight security, the new data center will provide stable services 24/7, ensuring strict strict standards for NTT Tier III data centers globally,” said a joint venture representative.
