Why is Jujutsu Kaisen estranged in Vietnam?

If to compare the fan community of Jujutsu Kaisen compared to other manga like Dragon Ball Super, One Punch Man, Boruto or One Piece, the number of fans who love this series is really modest. Most recently, Kim Dong Publishing House has bought the copyright of Jujutsu Kaisen and we have also seen a long line of people to buy this series. This is a positive sign however, in fact Jujutsu Kaisen is not loved in the Vietnamese market. Why is this?

First, the theme of Jujutsu Kaisen is “curse”, depicting the battle of a magician who uses magic to destroy monsters and curses born from negative emotions created by humans. Jujutsu Kaisen has everything you love from a manga: camaraderie, resilient protagonists, justice, noble purpose, diverse character lines, and humour.

However, the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen have a not too special shape, the character lines are often familiar and give Vietnamese readers who love novelty a sense of less curiosity and expectation. Meanwhile, Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga with a content and plot that is quite difficult to remember, many details are too logical, not too suitable for readers who love action and entertainment manga in Vietnam. Male.

Besides, Jujutsu Kaisen is a series with very few female characters (an important element for Vietnamese manga readers’ culture) to attract fans. While other manga are highly entertaining, with an eye-catching cast, Jujutsu Kaisen follows the trend of a series with a rather complicated plot and focused on the magical world.

Maybe in the future Jujutsu Kaisen will become more and more known in Vietnam, but this manga will not be able to match other series because of its specific content. What do you think about the above, please leave your comments!
