Samsung has upgraded the Galaxy A73 with a 108MP main camera (f/1.8 aperture) that benefits from OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). A higher resolution sensor doesn’t always result in better image quality, but the 108MP camera is a notable upgrade over the 64MP camera of last year’s Galaxy A72. Currently, 108MP is the highest resolution sensor Samsung has ever used in a mid-range phone and they will help the Galaxy A73 shine.

Now, many mid-range Samsung phones are already water resistant. The Galaxy A73 is IP67 certified, can survive in fresh water at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.

In addition to water resistance, the Galaxy A73 also has a Gorilla Glass 5 screen protector and metal frame. Of course, the Galaxy A73 is not as durable as the Galaxy S22 series (which currently has an Armor Aluminum frame) but the resistance will be relatively good.

This is a large 5G smartphone with a mid-range price from Samsung.

And yet, Samsung has upgraded the Galaxy A73 with a screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is much different from the 90Hz screen of last year’s Galaxy A72. As a result, the user interface will be more responsive and the animations will be smoother.

One of the biggest advantages of the Galaxy A73 is the Snapdragon 778G processor. This is also the Qualcomm SoC that Samsung used for the Galaxy A52s, and it’s a great choice for customers who want to use a mid-range phone for almost any mobile task, including gaming. This chip supports Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, has Kryo 670 CPU cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and Adreno 642L graphics chip.
