Stabbed to death while robbing drugs on the edge of Saigon
Phan Tuan Du, 19 years old, and his accomplices invited each other to rob young people of drugs in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, and then committed murder.

Working with the police, the Du group said there was a conflict with a young man named Hieu – a drug dealer in the area of Binh My commune, Cu Chi district, so there was an intention to rob his “goods”.
On the evening of March 24, after drinking, Du and a group of friends brought weapons to the embankment area of Rach Dua river. Seeing that Hieu was selling drugs to the man, they attacked, stole drugs and then ran away.
Hieu and the man chased and pulled back, but Du and San pulled out knives and stabbed them. Hieu was slightly injured, ran from the scene, and the man ran a few steps before collapsing to death. After committing the crime, Du and his accomplices fled.
Four days ago, people discovered the man’s body on the embankment of Rach Dua river, nearby an old motorbike. An autopsy revealed that the victim died from a ruptured aorta in his thigh, showing signs of murder. Local verification results show that this person used to use drugs.

Extracting camera images around the area, the police identified the suspect as a group of young people. The police then arrested Du and three accomplices while the group was renting in Phu Rieng district, Binh Phuoc province and Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
