Vietnam Tel increased 2 places on the FIFA rankings, the world’s top changed hands

On the afternoon of March 31, FIFA officially announced the rankings of men’s football teams in March 2022 when the international match series ended. After two matches against Oman and Japan in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, the ranking of the Vietnamese team has also changed.

Not as fortunate as Vietnam, the Chinese team is in free fall on the FIFA rankings of March 2022. In Asia, Vietnam Tel continues to rank 16th, but Japan has lost its No. 1 position on the continent to Iran. The remaining positions in the top 10 continents include South Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Iraq, Oman and China.

In Southeast Asia, Vietnam Tel is still the top team. Thailand is second in the region with 111th in the world, up 1 place from last month. Following are the Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei and Timor Leste, respectively.

Notably, the number one position in the world changed hands when the Brazilian team usurped Belgium. Thus, Belgium team fell to 2nd place and ended the period of domination of the FIFA rankings from October 2018 to present. The remaining positions in the world top 10 include France, Argentina, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and the Netherlands.
