BMW has an April Fool’s Day ad that causes a stir. In 2019, the company announced “Lunar Paint”, a car paint that can charge electric vehicles with moonlight. “Lunar Paint uses revolutionary photovoltaic technology to passively recharge your battery during the dark hours,” the company said.

This Tinder feature will ask users to enter an “actual, exact height” along with a photo of themselves standing next to any commercial building. The app’s algorithm will then verify if they’re really as high as they say they are.

The video introducing the accompanying “new” feature has more than 3.5 million views.

In 2019, online shopping platform Namshi announced that it was launching Falcon Express, a new service powered by falcon. “Traveling at 390km/h, the birds ensure your parcel arrives within three hours of placing your order,” the website says.

“The super ‘top’ feather fleet is now an official member of our delivery team. And will be used in air freight services for small packages, weighing less than 500g.” The joke was widely praised on social media.

In 2016, a parody website called MarkforHM.com popped up on April Fools’ Day, with the aim of revealing a special collaboration between fashion brand H&M and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

“H&M, known for its collaborations with high-end brands and designers, has launched a limited capsule collection of ‘iconic pieces re-released from the basics. of H&M,” the website states.

The Mark Zuckerberg x H&M collection includes seven basic gray t-shirts and one basic pair of jeans. The website even features pictures of Zuckerberg at various events wearing the same t-shirt and jeans.

The prank was widely praised, magazine Vogue says the collection is “really not a bad idea”.
