Investigate the suspect of placing a homemade bomb at a hotel in Hai Phong

Previously, on the night of March 25, Mr. Tong Duc Trung (30 years old, residing in An Lao district) received information that someone had texted him to announce that a bomb had been remotely detonated on the premises of Bao An hotel (address: An Tien commune). This hotel is in the name of Trung’s father.

Immediately after receiving the information, Mr. Trung and his relatives checked and inspected the entire hotel. Through it, he discovered a circular cylindrical object, wrapped inside a dark sock.

This object is about 5cm in diameter, 7cm long, with two metal protrusions, suspected to be a homemade bomb. Right after that, Mr. Trung and his family reported to the local police agency.

Mr. Trung shared before that, the family also received many messages from strangers threatening to place explosives in the hotel.

Receiving information, An Lao district police coordinated with military forces to check and seize suspected bombs.

An Lao district police leader said that immediately after confiscating the evidence, the unit sent it to the Institute of Criminal Science and Technology (Ministry of Public Security) to assess whether it was a bomb or not.

At the same time, organize forces to investigate and clarify who threw the suspected bomb at the hotel.
