According to the records, one day at the end of 1999, at a camp in the forest in Dau Go village, Dai Son commune, Dai Loc district, the logging group held a drinking party. At this time, there was a conflict between CVC (Nam Dinh hometown) and Cong.
C. used a dagger to stab Cong once. Running into people’s houses, Cong borrowed a banana-slicing knife and turned to cut C.’s leg, causing injury.
Everyone offered to take C. to the emergency room, but he refused. As a result, C. died due to shock and blood loss. Hearing that C. could not survive, Cong fled the area.
At the end of January 2000, the Quang Nam Provincial Police issued a wanted arrest warrant for Cong for intentionally causing injury. With many advocacy measures, on March 26, Cong presented himself to the police, ending 22 years of hiding.
Publicly admitting that during the escape, Cong did many jobs to earn a living, such as selling lottery tickets, loading and unloading accessories, etc. in Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City provinces.
