Previously, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Cu Chi district had clearly identified the person claiming to be “Venerable Thich Tam Phuc” and the place claiming to be “Central Hoang Phap Temple”. Accordingly, the self-proclaimed “Central Hoang Phap temple”, at address 174/13A Lang Cat hamlet, Tan Phu Trung commune, Cu Chi district is just a house to live in, not a place of religious worship.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuc, who pretends to be a monk of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, is self-identified as “Venerable Thich Tam Phuc”. He also used fake documents and decisions to claim to be a monk of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
The authorities have suggested, Mr. Phuc immediately stop the statements contrary to social ethics, contrary to the tradition of the Vietnamese Buddhist Church, strictly abide by the State’s laws; respect the Buddhist tradition.
