The US added 431,000 new jobs in March

The US Department of Labor’s report showed that the job market in March extended the unprecedented growth streak for 11 consecutive months, reaching more than 400,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate fell to its lowest level since the pandemic at 3.6%. Industries such as hotels, retail and construction, which were forced to lay off millions of workers during the outbreak, are now rapidly hiring again.

US President Joe Biden said: “Although we have created a record number of jobs, we still need to do more to control prices.”

The price of food, food, consumer goods, and house prices in the US has increased rapidly in recent months, slowing the recovery of the US economy. Although wages for American workers have increased by 5.6% in the past year, that is not enough when inflation in the country remains at 7.9%, the highest in 40 years.

In response to the rising gasoline prices, the US government is calling on domestic enterprises to increase exploitation to compensate for the short supply from imports.
