In the fourth epidemic (from April 27, 2021 to present), the number of infections recorded in the country is 9,810,591 cases, of which 7,785,145 patients have been declared cured.

Localities with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Hanoi (1,496,243), Ho Chi Minh City (596,403), Nghe An (400,607), Binh Duong (378,885), Hai Duong (347,115).

According to the Ministry of Health, on April 3, 74,608 patients were announced to be cured, bringing the total number of recovered COVID-19 cases so far to 7,787,962 cases.

The number of seriously ill patients being treated is 1,973 cases, in which, oxygen through a mask: 1,460 cases, high-flow oxygen breathing HFNC: 228 cases, non-invasive mechanical ventilation: 61 cases, invasive mechanical ventilation: 209 cases , ECMO: 15 cases.

Also on April 3, the whole country recorded 37 deaths from COVID-19. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam so far is 42,600, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.
