Covid-19 news today 3/4 Vietnam added 50,730 Covid-19 cases, down 14,886 cases compared to yesterday

The Ministry of Health said that on April 3, the whole country had 50,730 new Covid-19 cases in 61 provinces and cities, down 14,886 cases compared to yesterday. All cases are recorded in the country, there are 27,307 community cases.

The following provinces and cities have recorded cases: Hanoi (6,304), Yen Bai (2,604), Nghe An (2,599), Quang Ninh (2,522), Bac Giang (2,503), Phu Tho (2,435) and Lao Cai. Thai Binh Department of Health registered 40,000 additional cases, Bac Giang Department of Health registered 11,316 additional infections after reviewing information.

The localities where the number of infections decreased the most compared to yesterday were Dak Lak (down 3,997 cases), Hanoi (down 1,119 cases), Ha Giang (down 1,048 cases).

The localities that recorded the highest number of infections compared to yesterday include Quang Ninh (up 144 cases), Binh Dinh (up 95 cases), Bac Giang (up 64 cases).

Thus, since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 9,818,328 infections, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 110/227 countries countries and territories.

Particularly for the fourth epidemic, from April 27, 2021 to present, the whole country has 9,810,591 cases, 7,785,145 patients have been declared cured. The localities with high cumulative infections in this phase include Hanoi (1,496,243), Ho Chi Minh City (596,403), Nghe An (400,607), Binh Duong (378,885) and Hai Duong (347,115).

Regarding the treatment situation, during the day, 74,608 cases were announced to be cured. Currently, there are 1,973 severe Covid-19 patients, including 209 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation, 15 cases of ECMO.

In the past 24 hours, the whole country had 37 deaths in: Kien Giang (4), Bac Lieu (3), Quang Ninh (3), Ben Tre (2), Binh Duong (2), Hanoi (2), Ha Tinh (2), Khanh Hoa (2), Lam Dong (2), Phu Yen (2), Soc Trang (2), Bac Ninh (1), Binh Dinh (1), Binh Phuoc (1), Binh Thuan (1), Can Tho (1), Cao Bang (1), Dong Nai (1), Hai Duong (1), Phu Tho (1), Thai Nguyen (1), Vinh Long (1).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam so far is 42,600, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The total number of deaths ranked 24/227 territories, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 130/227 countries and territories in the world. Compared with Asia, the total number of deaths ranked 6/49, ranked 3rd in ASEAN.

Regarding the testing situation, from April 27, 2021 up to now, 38,630,662 samples have been taken, equivalent to 84,572,527 turns of people.

Regarding the vaccination situation, the total number of vaccines that have been administered is 206,525,077 doses. In there:

+ Number of injections for people aged 18 years and over is 189,333,482 doses. Includes: 1st dose is 71,245,211 doses; The second dose is 68,062,100 doses; The third dose is 1,509,257 doses; The additional dose is 14,938,955 doses; The booster dose is 33,577,959 doses.

+ The number of doses for children from 12-17 years old is 17,191,595 doses. Includes: 1st dose is 8,809,345 doses; The second dose is 8,382,250 doses.
