Get parents’ opinions for elementary and 6th grade students to go directly to school
Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung, Principal of MV Lomonosov Middle and High School (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) said that the school had just received a notice that, in order for the Department of Education and Training to have data to develop a plan to prepare for students. From grades 1 to 6 returning to school directly, the district Department of Education and Training requires educational institutions to conduct surveys and collect parents’ opinions on registering their children to go back to school. The Department of Education and Training in Nam Tu Liem district also requires schools to report data before April 4.
The school has conducted a survey for grade 6. “According to the survey, the majority agree to send their children back to school, but there are still many who do not want their children to go directly to school.”said Mr. Tung.
According to Mr. Tung, in the past few weeks, the percentage of students from grades 7 to 12 of the school going directly to school has reached over 94%; The number of teachers infected with COVID-19 is also very low. Therefore, Mr. Tung also supports the gradual return of students from lower grades to school.
Ms. Pham Thi Le Hang, Head of Education and Training Department of Ha Dong District also confirmed that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requested a survey of parents’ opinions from grades 1 to 6 about sending their children to school. From the afternoon of April 2, the Department of Education and Training in Ha Dong district has asked primary and secondary schools in the area to conduct surveys and collect opinions.
“This is also an information channel for parents to consult and understand the wishes and desires of parents. The epidemic situation is also gradually stabilizing and under control, I think getting information is also very useful, to poll parents and students if they want to return to school in the near future or not.” Mrs. Hang said.
By April 4, the Department of Education and Training will aggregate information from all schools about this. After the survey information is available, the Department of Education and Training will report it to the Department as a basis to advise the City People’s Committee.
