Huge explosion at nightclub in Azerbaijan capital, at least one person was killed

An Azerbaijani government official gave the above information, and said that rescuers were digging through the rubble of the nightclub after explosion.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior of Azerbaijan, Ehsan Zahidov, told the Associated Press news agency that the explosion at the Location club in the capital Baku was attributed to gas leak.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan reported one death and said 31 others were injured in the explosion. A spokesman for the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, Parviz Abubekirov, said 24 people had been hospitalized, most of them with burns.
Emergency services released a statement saying firefighters were dispatched to the Location club in downtown Baku at 3am and attempted to extinguish the blaze before it could. Spread.
