Launching the math and AI talent incubation program

The program “Incubating math and artificial intelligence talents” will be implemented in 5 years (2022-2026) with a total estimated value of VND 25 billion.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hai Quan – Director of Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, scientific research is one of the university’s top priorities. Besides, cooperation with the business community towards building and developing sustainable science and technology, closely following and contributing to solving practical problems of enterprises, is also an important factor.

To realize this strategy, from 2021, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Thinh Corporation have cooperated in many fields of science and technology, developing a circular economy model.

Continuing in the cooperation strategy between the two sides, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Thinh Corporation signed a contract to deploy the Math and Artificial Intelligence Talent Incubation program on the afternoon of April 1 at the University of Science and Technology. This program is an initiative of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Thinh Corporation to encourage and nurture young talents in mathematics and artificial intelligence in Vietnam, implemented in 5 years from 2022 to the end of the year. 2026 with an estimated budget of 5 billion VND per year.

The program “Incubating math and artificial intelligence talents” aims to develop the community in the field of math and artificial intelligence in Vietnam, supporting, fostering and training young talents to become scientists. prestigious science in the region and the world. In 5 years of implementation, the program will focus on scholarship activities for talented students, students and graduate students in the fields of mathematics and artificial intelligence; financial support for scientific researches, projects on innovation of teaching methods in the field of mathematics and artificial intelligence of scientists and teachers.

In addition, the program also provides funding for scientific publication, support for organizing or attending national and international conferences and seminars for students and young scientists; implementing projects to update and renew training programs and foster excellent and talented students at the high school and university level. Network building activities connecting young talents and prestigious scientists in the fields of mathematics and artificial intelligence in Vietnam and around the world will also be held.

As a member of the advisory board of the program “Incubating talents in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence”, Prof. Ngo Bao Chau also said that the program shows the interest of Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Thinh Corporation in the field of science and technology. Launching the talent incubation program, Hung Thinh Corporation awarded 40 scholarships worth 20 million VND each to a team of excellent math students and excellent students majoring in computer science from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Dinh province.
