A few hours ago, Deputy Prime Minister – Chairman of the Polish National Security and Defense Committee Mr. Jarosław Kaczynski announced that his country is ready to allow America deployment of nuclear weapons on its territory in an interview with the German newspaper “Welt am Sonntag”:
“If the Americans demand the deployment of nuclear weapons in Poland, we will be open to what greatly increases this deterrence of Moscow.”
However, when asked when this could happen, the Polish politician said it “not yet set at the moment” but added that “this may soon change”.

Kaczynski also called on NATO to establish a new command center in Poland:
“We would like to have a large NATO operations command headquarters in Poland like in Brunssum (Netherlands) where joint operations are planned.
This will be a clear signal to Moscow that there is now a leadership level of NATO in the east.”
The Deputy Prime Minister of Poland believes that the coalition needs to do more to solve the situation in Ukraine:
“The first is to conduct a peacekeeping mission. Of course, this can be done with Ukraine’s approval.
And second, NATO countries will have to provide the weapons that (Ukrainian President) Zelensky is actively asking for.”.

It should be noted that the aforementioned statement was made around the same time as Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov’s statement that an attack on any member of the CSTO, especially on Belaruswould be considered an attack on Russia.
It is known that at the end of February, a referendum on constitutional amendments was conducted in Belarus.
According to AFP, 65.17% of those taking part in the referendum agreed to amend the constitution and 10.07% opposed it, and for the constitutional amendments to take effect, at least 50% of the votes must be in favor.
The constitutional amendments are expected to pave the way for Belarus to give up the non-nuclear status it pursued after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
President Lukashenko said he might ask Russia to return nuclear weapons to Belarus.
