From 16:00 on April 2 to 16:00 on April 3, in the National Case Management System COVID-19 recorded 50,730 new cases, 0 of which were imported and 50,730 within the country (down by 14,886 cases compared to the previous day) in 61 provinces and cities (there were 27,307 cases in the community).

– On April 3, 2022, the Thai Binh Health Department registered an additional 40,000 cases and the Bac Giang Health Department registered an additional 11,316 cases in the National COVID-19 Case Management System after reviewing and completing complete information.

– Regions that recorded the largest decrease in the number of infections compared to the previous day: Dak Lak (-3.997), Hanoi (-1.119), Ha Giang (-1.048).

– Regions that recorded the highest number of infections compared to the previous day: Quang Ninh (+144), Binh Dinh (+95), Bac Giang (+64).

– Average number of new infections in the country recorded in the last 7 days: 75,319 cases/day.

– Since the start of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 9,818,328 infections, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and regions, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranked 110/227 countries and regions (an average of 99,311 cases per million people).

– 4th Epidemic (from 27 April 2021 to present):

+ The number of infections recorded in the country is 9,810,591 cases, of which 7,785,145 patients have been declared cured.

+ Areas with high cumulative number of infections during this outbreak: Hanoi (1,496,243), Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (596,403), Nghe An (400,607), Binh Duong (378,885), Hai Duong (347,115).

Treatment situation

1. Number of recovered patients:

– Patients declared cured in a day: 74,608 cases

– Number of recovered cases: 7,787,962 cases

2. The number of seriously ill patients treated was 1,973 cases, including:

– Breathing oxygen through a mask: 1,460 cases

– HFNC high flow oxygen: 228 cases

– Non-invasive mechanical ventilation: 61 cases

– Invasive mechanical ventilation: 209 cases

– ECMO: 15 cases

3. Number of patients who died:

– From 5:30 p.m. on April 2 to 5:30 p.m. on April 3, 37 deaths were recorded in: Kien Giang (4), Bac Lieu (3), Quang Ninh (3), Ben Tre (2), Binh Duong (2 ), Hanoi (2), Ha Tinh (2), Khanh Hoa (2), Lam Dong (2), Phu Yen (2), Soc Trang (2), Bac Ninh (1), Binh Dinh (1), Binh Phuoc (1), Binh Thuan (1), Can Tho (1), Cao Bang (1), Dong Nai (1), Hai Duong (1), Phu Tho (1), Thai Nguyen (1), Vinh Long ( first).

– Average number of deaths recorded in the last 07 days: 42 cases.

– Number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam To date, there have been 42,600 cases or 0.4% of the total number of infections.

– The total number of deaths ranked 24/227 regions, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 130/227 countries and regions in the world. Compared to Asia, the number of deaths is 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people are 25/49 Asian countries and regions (4th in ASEAN).
