The probability of a plane crash is only 0.00001%, but once the risk occurs, the chances of survival are extremely low. On January 26, 1972, a terrible air disaster occurred in Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia and the Czech Republic) killing 27 people on board Jat Airways flight JAT367.
The plane originally departed from Stockholm (Sweden) to Belgrade (Serbia) with stops in Copenhagen (Denmark) and Zagreb (Croatia). But while at an altitude of 10,160m above Czechoslovakia, the plane exploded in the sky. The whole world was shocked to find out that one person on the plane was not dead. In 2016, the “miracle survivor” died in her private apartment in Belgrade, aged 66. It was not until her middle years that Vesna revealed a secret story of hers and this is likely the key to explaining the spectacular fall of the past.
Right from birth, Vesna Vulović had a congenital heart disease and had a lower blood pressure than normal people. With such severe low blood pressure, Vesna Vulović should never have been accepted to the job of regularly flying in the sky.
On the day of the interview for Jat Airways, she cheated by drinking a lot of black coffee to raise her blood pressure and pass a health test. No one expected that this disease was the secret to keeping Vesna from having a “heart attack” when falling from a height of more than 10,000m.
