The fire broke out from the cloth warehouse on Nguyen Van Bua street (Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City) and destroyed many properties.
At more than 11 a.m. on April 3, the functional forces of Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City were still spraying water and extinguishing the fire at the fabric warehouse on Nguyen Van Bua street (Xuan Thoi Son commune, Hoc Mon district).

Before that, at about 6 a.m. on the same day, smoke and fire broke out from a cloth warehouse on Nguyen Van Bua Street.
The fire met flammable materials, so it quickly spread, black smoke covered the area, causing people to panic and call for help.

Hoc Mon district fire police dispatched many vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. Firefighters divided into many approaches to extinguish the fire, avoiding the fire spreading to neighboring houses.
Many pumps are used to draw water from nearby canals for fire fighting. After a few hours, the fire was basically under control.

However, because the inside of the warehouse contained a lot of cloth, the fire was still burning deep below, so it was smoking. The police had to mobilize two excavators to dig and put out the fire.
The fire caused most of the roof of the warehouse to collapse, a burning truck still had an iron frame and many properties inside were burned. In addition, the surrounding houses were also affected and burned.
The cause is currently under investigation.
