Mr. Hung said the essence of the electronic vaccine passport is that each citizen will have a QR code like the QR code on the current PC-Covid application, only this passport code uses the standards of the Health Organization. the world and the European Union to be able to verify information when going abroad.
In the next week, the Ministry of Health will issue a document guiding the implementation of the issuance of vaccine passports for people. Vaccine passports are technically valid for 12 months. After the above time limit, the system will automatically generate a new QR. Since March 30, the Ministry of Health has piloted the issuance of vaccine passports to more than 1,000 subjects injected at Bach Mai Hospital.
In case people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 but there is still no information on the system or the number of injections is not updated enough, people need to submit a report to the national vaccination system to update the data. or contact the vaccination facility directly for updates. If there is no data on the system, no vaccine passport will be issued.

In the case of entering or traveling to countries around the world that can use this vaccine passport, Mr. Hung recommends that people when entering must learn the regulations of that country on the type of vaccine and the number of injections.
“It depends on the regulations of each country that accepts vaccines and the number of doses. People need to find out information before entering the country. The vaccine passport can be used in which countries, specifically the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. and the Ministry of Information and Communications are still coordinating negotiations and will have official information,” Mr. Hung said.
According to the Information Technology Department, Ministry of Health, there are currently about 80 million Covid-19 vaccine injections with incorrect information on citizen identification or have not been entered into the system. Recently, the Ministry of Health has sent a document to the People’s Committees of provinces and cities, requesting to direct the Department of Health to coordinate with the provincial police to review, verify and enter additional information.
According to statistics on the Covid-19 vaccine vaccination portal, by the morning of April 2, the whole country had injected 206,338,198 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. The rate of vaccine coverage for people aged 18 years and over is nearly 100%, with 2 doses is 99%, and the rate of people who have received the 3rd dose is about 50%. For people from 12 to 17 years old, 1 dose is 99% and 2 doses is 94%.
