Hungarian Prime Minister announces victory for a fourth term
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared a “major victory” in the general election yesterday, with part of the vote counting results showing his Fidesz party leading.
According to the results of counting more than 70% of the total votes, Prime Minister Orban’s Fidesz party currently controls 135 seats out of 199 seats in the Hungarian Parliament, while the opposition coalition won only 57 seats.

With this result, the Fidesz party is headed for a fourth consecutive victory since Orban took over as Prime Minister of Hungary in 2010.
During the election campaign on April 1, Prime Minister Orban convinced voters with his commitment to peace and stability for the country.
