According to the investigation documents of the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang province, from 2015 to 2020, through payment transactions via bank transfer, this business has sold gold and foreign currency in contravention of the law. law, with revenue from gold sales over VND 6,362 billion.

The revenue from gold sales that private enterprise Phuoc Nguyen declares to the Tax Department of Long Xuyen City from 2015 to 2020 is VND 339 billion.

“The difference in gold sales through the investigation results of the Investigation Police Agency from 2015 to 2020 is VND 6,023 billion,” the Ministry of Finance said.

According to documents from the investigating police agency, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh hired a number of employees and his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung, in the name of the account holder opened at the bank but did not declare it to the tax agency. “Because gold has a large transaction, according to statistics, the difference between the buying and selling prices ranges from 1% to 2% of the sales revenue. Therefore, the estimated tax evasion amount is VND 90 billion”, the Ministry of Finance said. Finance said.

Currently, the tax authority is still coordinating with the police investigation agency in the investigation process and at the same time directing the tax authorities to strengthen the inspection and supervision of gold, silver and gems trading enterprises in the area under their management.
