News 24h: New development of the case of the woman who set fire to the motel, the pregnant girl died

On April 4 in connection with a fire that engulfed the motel that caused many casualties in Phu Do Village, according to information from the Nam Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi City), the Investment Police Agency has now issued a decision to initiate an investigation. prosecute cases of “Murder”, defined in Article 123 (KUHP 2015) and “Destruction of property” specified in Article 178 (KUHP)

Prior to that, the Nam Tu Liem district police had criminally detained Tran Thi Thanh Hai (SN 1993, living in Minh Thuan commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh). Hai was identified by police as the person who set fire to the boarding house where his girlfriend lived due to a romantic conflict.

At the police station, Hai confessed that on March 31, Hai bought 30,000 dong of gasoline and then went to the residence of his girlfriend, CVH, but did not meet him. After that, Hai went to get a haircut, wash his hair, and get his nails done. At the hair salon, Hai thinks about Mr. H and his family’s ban, causing Mr. H to not care about Hai during pregnancy, so he has the intention to bring the gas bottle he just bought to burn Mr. H. V’s car – is H’s cousin.

At around 6 pm on March 31, after entering the first floor of the parking lot, Hai went to V’s car and set it on fire. Then, for fear of being caught by others, Hai ran to the gate and threw off his coat, not long after Hai was arrested by the police. It is worth mentioning, through examination, the police determined that Hai was not pregnant.

Previously, according to the hostel’s camera system, at around 6:50 p.m. on March 31, Tran Thi Thanh Hai entered the first-floor area, where people parked their motorbikes. The suspect then set the motorbike on fire until the fire spread. After committing the crime, Hai fled the scene.

Finding the fire, the people informed the fire police (CATP Hanoi). After 30 minutes from the time of the incident, the authorities had extinguished the fire.

As a result of the fire, 1 person died on the spot, 5 people were injured (including 4 children) and were taken to the emergency room.
