Around 4:50 a.m. on April 4, in the area of Tran Quang Khai – Lo Su, Ly Thai To ward, Hoan Kiem district, (Hanoi), a traffic collision between motorbikes and pedestrians across the street occurred.
The accident resulted in the death of an elderly woman. At the scene, the victim lay unconscious near the sidewalk of Tran Nhat Duat dike next to the entrance to the border gate (in Phuc Tan ward, Hoan Kiem district). The victim is Mrs. NTH (living in Phuc Tan ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi) working as a shopkeeper walking around Hoan Kiem lake area. Mrs. H. is on her way home after finishing her activities on Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street.
After the accident, Hoan Kiem District Police quickly blocked off the scene to investigate the cause and handed over the victim’s body to the family.
Notably, immediately after the above incident, the social network spread information that the victim was rushed by a racing convoy consisting of many young people and teenagers.
Hoan Kiem District Police are coordinating with Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Hanoi City Police Department’s Traffic Police Department) to extract the camera to clarify the incident.
