Prosecution of 2 crimes of fire that killed 6 people in Hanoi

Police of Nam Tu Liem district (Hanoi) prosecuted the fire that killed 6 people in Phu Do ward.

On the afternoon of April 4, the leader of Nam Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi) said that the investigating police agency had prosecuted the case of Murder and Property Destruction related to the fire that killed 6 people.

The suspect in this case is Tran Thi Thanh Hai (SN 1993, in Nam Dinh).

Before that, on the evening of March 31, Hai bought gasoline and went to Mr. V’s boarding house in Phu Do ward (Nam Tu Liem) to find his motorbike and set it on fire. After that, the car caught on fire and spread quickly to the first floor. The fire caused 1 death, Ms. NTMA, and 5 injuries including: NMD (SN 1992), BVA (SN 1999), BPT (SN 2018) and TBPN (SN 2020). In terms of property, there were 7 motorbikes whose frames were burned and some motorbikes were partially burned.

The functional forces identified the person who caused the fire as Tran Thi Thanh Hai. At the investigation agency, Hai initially confessed that buying gasoline to set fire to Mr. V’s motorbike (a resident of the boarding house and cousin of Mr. H – Hai’s boyfriend) led to the fire. Hai also stated that the people started their actions from a conflict in love affairs.
