Savills: Apartment prices are difficult to reduce

The price of input materials increased sharply; land prices increase; supply is scarce, the lowest in the past 5 years… these are the main reasons why apartment hard to discount.

Ms. Do Thu Hang – Senior Director, Consulting and Research Department, Savills Hanoi said: “Apartment prices have increased for 12 consecutive quarters. The position of product lines that are launched is better. Compared with the land fund for the development of affordable apartments, the price level is gradually pushed up.The investor must take into account that in order to sell the goods, they have to invest more in utilities, infrastructure, landscape and total body of the whole area”.

Notably, some investors participating in the apartment market have strong potential and are not under much pressure from the market.

Despite the increase in prices, market research units said that the success rate of apartment transactions is still high. Because many urban people tend to choose to live in apartments, especially projects located in the inner city, compared to real estate in a narrow alley.
