SEA Games 31: Draw for men’s football on April 6

With more than 1 month left, football at Sea Games 31 will officially kick off on May 6. This is also one of the three earliest competitions at the 31st Sea Games. Recently, BTC has announced the draw schedule for the group stage of men’s and women’s football.

The football draw at Sea Games 31 will take place at 10:00 on April 6. In the men’s football content, the age of U23 is regulated and 3 players are over 23 years old. Teams can initially register up to 50 players but only register to play 20 players. Including 3 players over 23 years old.

The organizers determine the seed group based on the performance in the last two Sea Games. Accordingly, the host U23 Vietnam carries the code A1 and the U23 team from Thailand carries the code B1. The remaining 8 teams will be drawn into two groups A and B. Group A with the participation of U23 Vietnam will play at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho).

Group B plays at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh). Two time frames are determined to be 16:00 and 19:00. Men’s football will start from April 6.

In women’s football, the Vietnamese team carries the code A1 and the Thai team carries the code B1. The remaining 6 teams will be divided into two groups. The women’s soccer group stage will take place from May 9 to 15. The matches in Group A of the Vietnamese women’s team will be played at Cam Pha Stadium (Quang Ninh).
