A video recording the moment staff members on a barge coordinated to save a mother and baby from their car when they fell into a lake, causing a stir in Chinese public opinion.

It is known that in the car at that time there was a woman and a baby. Hearing the sound of her baby crying, the mother driving the car lost her temper, so she veered off the wheel. Fortunately, there were two workers standing nearby at that time. They used an excavator to rescue the victims.

The two male workers were identified as Yao Wanshun and Gu Jiannzhi. While working near the shore, hearing the cries of help from people around, they immediately abandoned their work and drove a barge to near the place where the victim fell.

The video recorded by a witness shows that the two workers initially used the shovel to keep the car afloat. Then, Yao broke the car window and took the mother and daughter out of the car.

When close to the barge, the mother seemed desperate but still tried to lift the baby high to give the baby to Gu, who was standing above. Waiting for the baby to arrive safely, Yao also helped bring the mother out of the water.

Sources from the local press said that, initially, these two workers tried to use an excavator to lift the vehicle out of the water. But the wind blew so hard that it fell again.

Thanks to the support of witnesses present at the scene, the mother and daughter were taken to the hospital in time. Currently, their health condition is stable, no longer serious. When she regained consciousness, the woman said she wanted to thank the two workers who promptly saved the lives of mother and daughter.

Meanwhile, two workers Yao Wanshun and Gu Jiannzhi have just been awarded a certificate of merit for bravery by the Ministry of Public Security of China.
