“Let’s talk about how we were attacked. When entering the city, many buildings are hiding places for soldiers armed with shoulder-fired anti-tank weapons or rockets. The anti-tank missile hit us, we know it’s an NLAW, but everything is fine. The tank started to burn, but fortunately we all survived. The vehicle suffered only a small shock and a few small fires,” a soldier from the tank crew told RT news agency.

According to the analysis of the site WarLeaks – Military Blog, the crew of the T-72 tank survived purely by luck. Because the NLAW was fired by Ukrainian soldiers at a distance too close, less than 20m, not enough distance to open the insurance part of the fuse, so the fuse did not activate the explosive dose inside the missile.
