On the afternoon of April 5, the police of Cao Bang province said that they had arrested Thang Phi Hung (36 years old, in Le Chung commune, Hoa An district, Cao Bang province) to investigate murder.
Talk to PV Infonet, leader of the People’s Committee of Le Chung commune said: “The incident happened at about 6pm on April 4. At that time, Hung used a crowbar to hit the head of Mrs. Doan Thi Loan (63 years old) and her two grandchildren, Le Vinh Thanh (7 years old) and Le Tien Dat (4 years old). The incident caused Ms. Loan and her nephew Thanh to die on the spot and Le Tien Dat’s nephew to be hospitalized in critical condition.
After emergency treatment, Dat was transferred to Hanoi for treatment but is still in critical condition.”
According to this source, Thang Phi Hung’s house and the victims’ houses are several tens of meters apart. After committing the crime, about an hour later, Hung was arrested by the police. Hung divorced his wife in 2018. The circumstances of the suspect and the victim were difficult.
Talking about the cause of the murder, this person informed: “Hung is a mental object. Sometimes the subject destroys the property of people in the area. Despite being mentally ill, Hung is still able to take care of himself in life. Hung and the victim’s family have no conflicts.”
The case is being investigated and clarified by the police.
