Previously, on the morning of March 21, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department had a meeting with Dream Republic Joint Stock Company and Sheen Mega Joint Stock Company regarding the late payment of 2 winning land lots in Thu Thiem New Urban Area.

At this meeting, representatives of Dream Republic Joint Stock Company and Sheen Mega Joint Stock Company promised the Tax Department of Ho Chi Minh City to try to pay the winning amount at the Thu Thiem land auction as soon as possible. Currently, these two businesses are raising capital to pay nearly 8,000 billion dong of land use levy winning the auction.

On January 6, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department issued 8 notices on payment of land use fees and registration fees to 4 winning businesses of land in Thu Thiem new urban area at the auction on December 10, 2021. .

According to regulations, within 30 days from the date of issuance of the above notice, enterprises must pay registration fee and 50% of land use fee (phase 1). Within 90 days from the date of the above notice, the auction winning units must pay the remaining 50% of the land use fee (phase 2).

After that, Viet Star Real Estate Investment Co., Ltd. won the auction of land lot 3-12 (area of ​​10,059,7m2) and officially asked for deposit. Similarly, Binh Minh Investment and Trading Company Limited won the auction of land lot 3-9 (area of ​​5,009.1m2) and had to pay 5,026 billion VND of land use fee and 500 million VND of registration fee. do not continue with the project.

The rest, Dream Republic Joint Stock Company won the auction of land lot No. 3-5 (area of ​​6,446m2) and paid 3,820 billion VND in land use fees and 500 million VND in registration fees for the area performing commercial functions. service.

Sheen Mega Joint Stock Company won the auction of land lot number 3-8 (area of ​​8,568.1m2), paid 4,000 billion VND of land use fee, and was exempted from paying registration fee according to the instructions on registration fee for land area. live. Ho Chi Minh City is under pressure to consider the financial capacity of businesses participating in the Thu Thiem land auction.

According to regulations, if the first and second installments are overdue, the auction winning enterprise must pay late payment interest in accordance with the law on tax administration.

After 180 days from the date of signing the tax notice, if the auction winner fails to pay enough money to buy the auctioned asset, it will be considered a breach of the sale and purchase contract. At that time, the Property Auction Service Center of Ho Chi Minh City will notify about the failure to pay enough money to buy the auctioned asset for the Land Fund Development Center to report to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to submit to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to cancel the decision to recognize the results. won the auction.

Auction winners who do not pay or do not fully pay the auction winnings by the above time will not receive their deposit back. This deposit will be remitted into the state budget.
