Crime night of Dien May Xanh supermarket intruder

The Hanoi People’s Procuracy has indicted Nguyen Minh Chuc (25 years old, in Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province) on the crime of property robbery, the maximum penalty frame is up to life in prison.

According to the allegations, Chuc did not have a stable job. On November 27, 2021, he was walking along Highway 32, with the aim of finding loopholes to break into and appropriate property.

When going to Dien May Xanh supermarket on Cau Dien street in Bac Tu Liem district (Hanoi), Chuc saw that this place had a loophole door lock, so he intended to break in.

Finished preparing “tools” to break locks and sharp knives, at dawn on November 29, Chuc cut off the circuit breaker before sneaking inside the supermarket. Seeing Mr. Viet (22 years old, security guard) sleeping, the robber held a knife to his neck and threatened the victim.

According to the VKS, after tying up a security guard, the robber broke open the glass cabinet in the supermarket and took away 77 phones, 6 laptops, dozens of watches and a safe with more than 200 million VND inside. After that, he used a motorbike to carry the evidence back to hide it at the inn.

After committing the crime, Chuc went online to sell a phone number and deposited more than 220 million VND into his bank account. On the evening of December 3, a young man brought 4 iPhones to unlock and was arrested by the police.

The procedural authorities determined that the total value of assets that Chuc appropriated from Dien May Xanh was nearly 900 million VND.

As for the supermarket’s belief that they also lost some other assets, the investigating agency found that there were not enough grounds to determine that Chuc appropriated, so they separated to clarify and handle later.
