Thailand escaped loss in Southeast Asia futsal
ThailandThanks to the double of Muhammad Osamanmusa, the host earned a 2-2 draw against Indonesia in the third round of Group A of the Southeast Asian futsal championship, on the afternoon of April 5.
Both won the first two rounds. While Thailand destroyed Brunei 13-0 and Cambodia 16-0, Indonesia beat Brunei 12-0 and Malaysia 5-1. With a superior difference (+29 vs +16), Thailand only needs one point ahead of Indonesia to maintain the top edge of the table.

Osamanmusa was born in Thailand in 1998, to a family of Ghanaian descent. He is a member of the Thai team that won the Southeast Asian Championship in 2016.
However, because of that mentality, some of their positions entered the game loosely, allowing Indonesia to concede a goal in 32 seconds. From the launch phase of the attack on Indonesia’s home side, the ball was passed into the Thai penalty box to Soumilena finishes. The volley was neither dangerous nor tight, but keeper Katawut caught the ball off course.
After the goal, Thailand rose up and created many opportunities. But when they could not find a way into the Indonesian goal, they received more goals. From the free kick point about seven meters, Ardiansyah Nur kicked the ball through the fence to raise the score to 2-0 in 15 minutes.
In Southeast Asia, Thailand has long dominated the futsal village with 14 championships. If the above results were upheld, it would be a major blow to the tournament.
However, the home team did not let that happen. After a series of missed opportunities, they eventually shortened to 1-2. From the situation of stealing the ball in the middle of the field, Thailand counterattacked quickly. When it was passed in, the ball hit the Indonesian player’s foot and changed direction. The away team’s goalkeeper tried to save the ball, but the pivot Osamanmusa appeared to kick the ball.
In the 34th minute, Thailand’s class spoke up. From the pass of his teammates, Osamanmusa controlled and then turned to shoot, equalizing the score 2-2.
Tomorrow, April 6, Indonesia will host Cambodia, and Thailand will meet Malaysia in two decisive matches to top Group A.
