The Hungarian designer came up with the concept of a zero-emission solar-powered plane with unique large and curved wings.

The world is gradually moving towards environmentally friendly vehicles and aircraft powered by renewable energy is one of them. The Solar Impulse solar aircraft, developed by the US-Spanish aerospace company Skydweller Aero, has demonstrated the ability of a traditional fuel-free aircraft to fly around the world in 2015 – 2016. .

Hungarian industrial designer Laszlo Nemeth wants to continue making zero-emissions commercial flights popular. Nemeth launches a new solar-powered airplane design called Falcon Solar, inspired by falcons, Design Boom reported on 4/4. “Even today, the repetition of nature’s shapes is a good source of inspiration for design and helps develop with near-perfect harmonious proportions,” he says.

Falcon Solar can fly with zero emissions thanks to its huge wing area equipped with solar panels. “The new design breaks with traditional aircraft designs and takes advantage of the wings. The plane’s shape is unique in that the fuselage also provides significant lift, while also providing surface area for mounting solar cells. heaven,” Nemeth explained.

Falcon Solar’s impressive feature is its backward curved wings that look like the wings of a falcon. Compared to the overall proportions of the aircraft, the wings are very large, possibly intended to provide superior lift and reduce aerodynamic drag.

Falcon Solar is just a concept at the moment, and Nemeth has not yet announced the details or how it works. According to the design image, Falcon Solar does not have a rudder – an important part to help adjust the aircraft’s direction. Besides, the plane cabin looks quite small and cramped if carrying many passengers.
