There are banks participating in the purchase of canceled bonds of Tan Hoang Minh group
The State Securities Commission (SSC) has just announced the cancellation of nine bond offerings from July 2021 to March 2022 of Viet Star Company, Winter Palace Company, and Soleil Company. belonging to Tan Hoang Minh Group.
The companies are all unpublic, and have made 9 private bond offerings with a total value of VND 10,030 billion during the period from July 2021 to March 2022 according to the provisions of Decree No. 153/2020 /ND-CP dated December 31, 2020 of the Government providing for the offering and trading of individual corporate bonds in the domestic market, the offering of corporate bonds to the international market and information disclosure on specializes in corporate bond information page of the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) regarding these offerings.
Of the 9 canceled stock lots, 8 lots with a total value of VND 8,130 billion were announced on the HNX. In which, 7 lots of bonds have been announced with the structure of investors buying bonds. Only the largest bond lot of 3,230 billion VND, code WTPCH2125003, issued on December 16, 2021, there is no information on the list of purchased investors.
The number of investors participating in the bond issuance is very small and all are institutional investors. Credit institutions have participated in buying at least 3 bond issues of Tan Hoang Minh group.
Specifically, the issuance of 5-year bonds on September 20, 2021 of Viet Star Company, a credit institution participated in the issuance. The credit institution also participated in two other issuances: a 3-year bond batch of Soleil Company issued on November 1, 2021 and a 2-year bond batch issued on July 6, 2021.

The remaining 2 bonds are only known to have been purchased by an institutional investor, it is not clear whether they are purchased by credit institutions, securities companies or investment funds.
Thus, it is not clear which credit institutions have invested in bonds of Tan Hoang Minh group in the past time.
It is known that the bond registration and depository agent is KIS Vietnam Securities, Bao Viet Securities, Agribank Securities, and ABBank Securities. VietinBank and SHB are the banks that manage the accounts in the bond issuances of Tan Hoang Minh.
