Accordingly, a representative of TMV confirmed that from May 1, 2022, the retail price of some car models will be adjusted from May 1, 2022, with an increase of VND 5-40 million. However, the new price will only apply to Toyota models invoiced from May 1, 2022.

Answering the question about the reason for the price increase of some of the above models, a representative of TMV said: “The price of a car depends on many factors. Therefore, based on each time as well as the strategy of each vehicle line, TMV will adjust and offer the most appropriate price as well as consider bringing satisfaction to customers.”

Although the representative of TMV did not specify the reason for the car price adjustment, but talking to PV, the dealer said that the reason was because the cost of input materials was increasing beyond control, the supply was interrupted… leading to the price. tank. “The number of cars is currently very limited, so some existing models have increased in price, but customers who want to buy still have to wait, don’t have a car right away,” Toyota dealer Giai Phong added.

In fact, Toyota is not the only car company that is facing a shortage of components, a supply disruption that makes cars scarce. Some companies such as Ford, Hyundai, Kia … are also in the same situation.

In 2016, the retail price of some assembled Toyota models was adjusted to the highest down to 59 million dong. By November 2017, the automaker continued to reduce from 24 to 58 million VND depending on the model and version.
