Bipartisan members of the US Senate have passed a bill providing $ 10 billion to support the production and research of vaccines and drugs to treat Covid-19.

Mr. Schumer also said that, while an agreement on an international package of assistance in the new bill could not be reached, many Democrats and Republicans pledged to include them in the second supplementary aid. It is expected to be approved later this spring.
