A Business Proposal (Dating in the Office) officially ended after 12 episodes, with a happy ending for both couples. Accordingly, Tae Moo (Ahn Hyo Seop) proposed to Ha Ri (Kim Se Jeong) successful; and the secretary and Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah) moved in together as husband and wife.
However, this ending still cannot make the audience completely satisfied. The last episode of the film builds up the plot quickly, the knots that have not been tied yet have been removed and above all, there are countless entanglements about the relationship between the characters.
1. Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah) from his father
After hearing that his father asked his lover to break up with him, Young Seo announced the severance of the father-son relationship. “Dad is a mediocre dad who only cares about money.” “Dad kicked me out because I didn’t meet dad’s standards, and now I’m hurting the person who loves me,” are the reasons she gave.
Isn’t it too unreasonable that with just that number of reasons, Young Seo was born from the face of the birth. Just because he doesn’t respect her wishes, forbids her from dating someone he doesn’t like and thinks only of money and status all day long. So who is wrong in this case? Or the movie is trying to spread the idea that if the father does not agree with him, he will cut off the relationship? Is it too wrong to build conflicts between father and daughter from the beginning of the movie to the end of the movie, just cut off the relationship?
It’s not wrong for Young Seo to follow the call of love, but it’s not right to turn away from her father
2. Still be friends with “one-sided lover of 7 years”?
A Business Proposal successfully built an obnoxious supporting male line, he left the female lead alone for 7 years, came out to prevent her when she heard that she had a lover… But everything seems to be that Lee Min Woo (Song Won Seok) ) doing is too superficial, half-hearted. His influence did not make Tae Moo – Ha Ri’s love increase or decrease, the 7-year relationship between him and Ha Ri did not affect too much love story or her daily life.
As for Min Woo’s lover, after causing all kinds of things, she didn’t apologize to Ha Ri but asked him to apologize for her
The ending of this character is equally sloppy. He decided to go to Europe to travel and hope that when he returns, the two will still be friends. The two do not have a clear answer to the ambiguous one-sided love story for the past 7 years, the trouble that his girlfriend Min Woo caused Ha Ri through just an indirect apology is enough. So, what’s the point of building a relationship between Ha Ri and Min Woo for 7 years?
3. Constructing the “yes, there are yes and no” episodes
The end capital of A Business Proposal It is predictable, even a happy ending, but it causes a feeling of dissatisfaction, even boredom. There are no knots that need to be removed, conflicting details appear in the form of “yes, yes, but yes, it’s like no”.
A Business Proposal crammed for all the details in 60 minutes, which is a contradiction, solves a misunderstanding,… And it’s all done over the top, cropped as much as possible to finish. Typically, Tae Moo was in the press because of rumors of love, but only a minute later and with an explanation, everything was in order. Make the audience feel like there’s no need to build that episode, there’s no value.
The most worth discussing is still the scene of the unexpected and rather superficial marriage proposal when it only lasted 3 minutes of the main couple without a wedding or a more romantic scene. If this is a movie full of tragedy, the main couple overcomes too many events, perhaps the ending is too complete but A Business Proposal with bold and romantic colors, so why not give the main couple and the secondary couple a wedding together?
A Business Proposal aired the last episode on SBS on the evening of April 5.
