Recalling the incident, Mr. T. said, on October 27, 2021 his father went to Hoa Binh General Hospital to check for sinusitis. After that, Mr. P. was appointed by the doctor to operate on sinusitis by endoscopic method.
“My father was taken to the operating room at 11am, but waited forever to see them take him out. At more than 2pm, the doctor informed the family that my father had a cardiac arrest and was in critical condition…”Mr. T said.
Immediately after the incident, Mr. T. filed an application to report to the Hoa Binh City Police for verification and investigation to clarify the cause of the incident.
After receiving the complaint, the authorities conducted an autopsy to clarify the cause. The autopsy process was attended by the Institute of Criminal Science (Ministry of Public Security). However, so far the family has not received a satisfactory answer from the authorities.

According to Mr. T., not long ago, Hoa Binh City Police invited him to report the patient’s cause of death. The police said the cause of death was respiratory failure and heart failure.
“But they did not specify why my father suffered from respiratory failure and heart failure. Such a conclusion is very general, so I asked the police agency to continue investigating and clarifying.No matter what I do, my dad won’t be able to come back to life, but we need an objective answer about his cause of death. More than 5 months have passed and my family still has to wait, how long do we have to wait?”, patient P.’s son said.

Regarding the incident, talking to PV, Ms. Bui Thu Hang – Director of Hoa Binh Department of Health said that recently, the Provincial Medical Professional Council had a meeting to give answers to 6 problems that the City Police had asked. Hoa Binh asked about the LVP patient’s death during sinus surgery.
“Until now, we have not received a conclusion on the cause of death of LVP patient from the Institute of Criminal Science. We also need that conclusion because it is the basis for clarifying the case, the patient. the cause of death, due to disease or other causes”, Mrs. Hang said.
According to the leader of Hoa Binh Department of Health, after the incident happened, the Department of Health directed the hospital to clarify the medical examination and treatment process as well as clarify the cause of the incident as well as express condolences and visit the patient’s family. core.
