Suzuki series of cars increased in price by 6-10 million VND

Suzuki Vietnam has just adjusted the selling price of its imported cars. Only the MT version of Ertiga remains the same compared to the old version.

Suzuki has not yet responded to the cause of the product price increase, while dealers say it is due to “its policy”. Suzuki’s website has updated the new price with Euro 5 identification (meeting engine emission standards). Its imported versions before 2022 reach Euro 4.

In addition to models like Swift, Ertiga AT or Ciaz increasing prices, the company’s best-selling model in Vietnam, Suzuki XL7 also increased by 10 million. However, this selling price of XL7 has been available since March.

The XL7 2022 engine in addition to meeting Euro 5 emission standards, also has a dark insulating film for the glass. The company also launched a special edition XL7 Sport Limited with a price of 640 million VND with more equipment than the regular version.

Suzuki is the fourth car company after Kia, Toyota, and Lexus in 2022 to increase the price of cars in Vietnam. In the motorcycle segment, there is Honda. The common point of the price increase of the companies is due to the increase in input prices of components due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic and world political instability. Some companies say this is simply the company’s own strategy and the selling price is adjusted depending on the specific business stages.

Besides the increased prices of many products, the supply of cars in the domestic market is facing difficulties. Many brands such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Kia, Mazda, Ford… supply is not enough demand. Many hot car models make customers take 1-2 months, even half a year to be delivered if they deposit from now on.
