Everyone has some personal passion and happiness. And for Ngan Hoang’s husband, the passion is to decorate, arrange and design everything in his house by himself. Ngan Hoang’s husband is not the type of person who is rich at the finish line so that he can buy everything beautiful and expensive; I’m not an architect, but I like to think of ways and make everything pretty and warm by myself according to my preferences and finances.
“My house doesn’t use expensive furniture at all, most of them are self-made or hire a skilled woodworker. My house also doesn’t have a blueprint because I don’t hire an architect. Because my husband drew it in his head, then sketched it by hand and told the builder“, Ngan Hoang shared.
It is known that the couple’s house is located in Ngoc Thuy, Hanoi and has an area of 47 meters of floor space. The total usable area is more than 100 meters because the 2nd floor is built a little more protruding. The house has 2 bedrooms, currently 1 room is used as a place for children to play or when grandparents come to play, it will be used, 1 office room connected to the living room, kitchen, 2 toilets, 1 laundry room on the 2nd floor and 2 bathrooms. 1 open space to wash miscellaneous things on the 1st floor.

She tried to arrange the inside so that it was neat and airy. “I often sit blankly at this table, drinking coffee and thinking about it. My life right now is quite simple, don’t expect too much, choose a slower, more minimalist way of life.

In this TV corner, Ngan Hoang’s husband has painted imitation cement as a highlight. The TV shelf can be begged, replace the old shelf for compactness because it has a drawer, can hold more things. Behind the stairs is a warehouse, enough to store all unused or rarely used items, carpentry and repair items.
The bookshelf was made by her husband Ngan Hoang for the first time. Although it is not smooth, it is solid and durable. The sofa has a basic design, large enough to sit and watch TV. The sofa was ordered by Ms. Ngan to build on demand for 6 million, and has been used for 6 years.
The corner of the hallway, now used by the couple to store books. The couple plan to make a place to drink tea, read a book or relax after reducing the number of books.
The bedroom is designed simply, without much furniture. Ngan’s favorite point is that all the pillow covers are made of wool, looking rustic, lying very soft, friendly to the body.
The corner opposite the bed is a shelf built by Ngan’s husband. Mainly for toys and story books for children before going to bed. There are books in every corner of the house to read in your spare time.
The playroom of two children is all homemade, old and donated. Sofa bed for 2 people, bought for more than ten years but still very beautiful.
The stairs are made entirely of ash wood, very stable and sturdy to use. This is a favorite view of Ms. Ngan.
Ngan Hoang’s house has been built for nearly 7 years. The cost of rough and basic construction is 600 – 700 million, adding decorative furniture costs about 1 billion. “My house built a very solid foundation so that in a few years, the two children will grow up a little more, they will go upstairs. My wife and I paint the house, build most of the furniture by ourselves, so the interior saves a lot.”
