The apartment building in Ho Chi Minh City caught fire violently, after suspecting a quarrel, he burned it himself

Vietnamnet reported, on the morning of April 6, at the 14th floor apartment block B, apartment To Ky Tower on To Ky Street (Trung My Tay Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) had a fierce fire. It is known that this apartment is rented by a woman.

Specifically, at around 4:00 a.m. on the same day, a few people who got up early to exercise heard two loud explosions, then saw a fierce fire, so they shouted for security.

According to witnesses, despite the fire, the apartment alarm was disabled, so residents had to directly ring the bell by hand, but the bell still didn’t work.

“I and a woman ran into the ground floor and basement to call for security because there was a fire but no one knew. At the time of the fire, there was no alarm sound,” Mr. Tung (guardian of the market opposite To Ky Tower) said.

According to this person, the fire quickly broke out. He urged his colleagues to call the fire protection police and functional forces.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Team and District 12 quickly arrived and deployed rescue and fire extinguishing plans. At this time, many apartment residents knew that there was a fire and rushed to the ground.

About 20 minutes later, the fire at the apartment was extinguished. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire.

The initial suspicion of the fire stemming from a conflict between a woman living in the apartment and a man. Because before that, a few residents heard arguing coming from the burnt apartment.

Notes of Youth OnlineMs. Ngo Thi Hong Van (57 years old, head of the 8th floor of block A of To Ky Tower apartment building) said that at around 4:00 a.m. she got up early and heard a quarrel, went to check and discovered a quarrel coming from the floor. 14 in block B.

Moments later, the apartment on fire, Mrs. Van shouted for the people on the same floor to go down to the ground by elevator.

“The fire alarm didn’t sound, the security loudspeaker didn’t work. I banged on the mechanical fire alarms and didn’t hear the fire alarm. That’s when I told everyone in my floor to run down. My opinion is that need to re-check the fire alarm work and the security, protection and management of the building”said Mrs. Van.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Loi (in an apartment on the 5th floor of block B) also said at the time of the incident fire, he did not hear the fire alarm. When he was sleeping, he heard a loud noise and was startled to wake up.

Later, he heard people shouting from the market opposite the apartment building (across To Ky street), so he and his family quickly ran downstairs.

Currently, authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
