Banana peeler robot developed by Japan

A video shows the robot’s arms skillfully holding and peeling bananas for about 3 minutes.

To do this, the researchers had to perform hundreds of banana peels to generate enough data for the robot to learn and simulate. It took them a total of more than 13 hours to train the robot to peel bananas without damaging the fruit with a success rate of 57%.

Although still in the experimental stage, the researchers believe that this training method could help train robots to do other simple human tasks, thereby solving the problem of labor shortages. Japan.
