Regulating retirement age suitable for preschool teachers

Required nature of work preschool teachers must be active, agile and healthy to take good care of and teach children to dance, sing and make models and tools for teaching. Therefore, many opinions believe that the application of the retirement age for preschool teachers is 60 years old, which is not suitable with reality.
Responding to this opinion, the Ministry of Education and Training said that the issue of raising the retirement age was discussed at the Seventh Conference of the 12th Central Committee and unanimously approved Resolution No. 28/NQ-TW on May 23. 2018 on social insurance policy reform. Institutionalizing the policy of increasing the retirement age in Resolution No. 28/NQ-TW, the National Assembly unanimously promulgated the 2019 Labor Code, in which the content of retirement age is specified in Article 169 and the conditions for enjoying pension in Clause 1, Article 219.
In the process of researching and developing the Labor Code (amended), the issues reflected by voters were also discussed, discussed and evaluated thoroughly, overall related aspects. Therefore, according to Article 169 of the Labor Code in 2019, the adjustment to increase the retirement age is not immediately increased to 62 years old for men and 60 years old for women, but is adjusted according to the roadmap each year. 3 months for male employees and 4 months for female employees. Besides, for workers who do occupations and jobs that are particularly arduous, hazardous and dangerous; working in areas with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions or weak health workers (with reduced working capacity) can retire at a lower age.
Implementing the provisions of Article 169 of the Labor Code in 2019, the Government has issued Decree No. 135/2020/ND-CP dated November 18, 2020 regulating the retirement age, in which the specific age retirement for each group of employees according to the nature of work and industry.
Implementation of the Prime Minister’s conclusion in Notice No. 01/TB-VPCP dated January 1, 2021 of the Government Office: “Assigning the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to research, review and develop the Information guiding the determination of the list of occupations and jobs that are particularly arduous, hazardous and dangerous”, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is coordinating with relevant ministries and branches to research, review and develop Circular mentioned above.
