The suspect who murdered his wife, disposing of the body, wrote on Facebook asking for forgiveness

Tri married a woman five years younger than him in 2015, and has two children. However, the two often had conflicts, making their married life quite stifling.

Tri declared, on the afternoon of December 11, 2021, he and his wife shouted loudly when they saw this woman leaving home to go out. Next, the husband is said to have received a picture showing his wife having an affair with another man who was in a fit of jealousy.

At dawn the next morning, he could not sleep, and remembered the incident in the afternoon, so he was angry. When the wife was sleeping, Tri went to the kitchen to get a knife and stabbed his wife to death.

Determining that his wife was dead, the husband considered disposing of the body, erasing traces of the scene. He cleaned up the blood stains, then buried his wife’s body in a hole near the hillside, next to the rose garden and coffee garden in Xuan Truong commune, more than 70m from the house.

Police examine the scene, investigate the case.

The next morning, Tri pretended that nothing had happened and went to work as usual. A few days later, seeing no sign of this woman at home, neighbors inquired. Afraid that people would doubt him, Tri said “his wife is going to work far away”. He then also used the excuse to earn money, and then left the locality.

On the afternoon of April 6, after heavy rain, which eroded the rock layer where the perpetrator dumped the victim’s body, people discovered the body. From the traces of the scene and the autopsy, the investigating agency determined that the victim was suspected of being murdered and buried without evidence.

Colonel Tran Minh Tien, Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police, directly directed the investigation of the case, requesting the Criminal Police Department to take charge and coordinate with the City Police. Da Lat clarified the contradictory details in the case, the testimony of the suspect, and did not leave out the crime.

In addition, coordinate with the Institute of Criminal Science of the Ministry of Public Security to calculate an examination plan and collect evidence to fight and strictly handle the case.

Many policemen were sent into the investigation, a few hours later, they identified the local victim, who lived near the scene, disappeared 3 months ago, along with related data.

Meanwhile, working with the police, the victim’s mother said that 3 months ago, her daughter sent a message to sell coffee in Ho Chi Minh City, but since then, she has not received a call. As for the son-in-law, he reported to Khanh Hoa to work, sometimes taking his two grandchildren home to play, especially on holidays and Tet.

From the information obtained, the investigation team approached Tri, along with his relatives. Knowing that he could not escape, at dawn on April 7, Tri confessed to killing his wife. Before presenting, he also posted a status on Facebook asking his wife for forgiveness.

The investigation agency is continuing to clarify the case.
