Announcement of the format of the exam to assess the ability to apply for admission to the police school
According to the structure, the Ministry of Public Security’s 2022 People’s Public Security (CAND) regular university entrance examination exam consists of two parts: a multiple-choice part and an essay part. Candidates take the test in 180 minutes (in 1 session), in which the multiple-choice part is 90 minutes and the essay part is 90 minutes.
The exam is expected to be held by the Ministry of Public Security after the high school graduation exam about 10 days (the specific time will be announced later).
Candidates can choose one of 4 exam codes according to their wishes registered during pre-qualification:
CA1 (Multiple choice: Natural sciences, social sciences, English; Essay: Math).
CA2 (Multiple-choice section: Natural sciences, social sciences, English language; Essay section: Literature).
CA3 (Multiple choice: Natural science, social science, Chinese language; Essay: Math).
CA4 (Multi-choice section; Field of natural science, field of social science, Chinese language; Essay part: Literature).
Score of the test: The total score of the test is 100 points, of which the maximum number of 60 points for the multiple-choice part and the maximum of 40 points for the essay part.
Exam format: Candidates take the multiple-choice part on the multiple-choice answer sheet and do the essay part on the exam paper according to the form of the Ministry of Public Security.
Exam content
For the multiple-choice test, assess the candidate’s knowledge in all three of the following areas:
The field of natural science consists of 25 questions (1 point each) corresponding to 25 points; Core knowledge includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology. In which 80% knowledge of grade 12; 20% of knowledge in grades 10, 11, is assessed on 4 levels: awareness level, comprehension level, low application level, high application level.
The field of social science consists of 25 questions (1 point each) corresponding to 25 points; Core knowledge includes History, Geography, Socio-economic Culture. In which 80% knowledge of grade 12; 20% of knowledge in grades 10, 11, is assessed on 4 levels: awareness level, comprehension level, low application level, high application level.
Language (candidates can choose one of two languages: English or Chinese according to the candidate’s wishes when applying for pre-qualification) consists of 20 sentences (0.5 point each) corresponding to 10 points, evaluated according to 4 levels: awareness level, understanding level, low level of application, high level of application.
For the essay part, candidates can choose one of two areas: Mathematics or Literature according to the candidate’s wishes when applying for pre-qualification:
Mathematics: from 3-5 sentences with 40 points, of which 80% knowledge of grade 12; 20% of knowledge in grades 10, 11, is assessed on 4 levels: awareness level, comprehension level, low application level, high application level.
Literature subject: consists of 2 sentences with 40 points of knowledge of grade 12: Sentence 1: reading comprehension with 10 points. Question 2: write essay with 30 points.
Candidates take the exam at CAND colleges and universities according to the wishes of the candidates registered during the pre-qualification. Particularly, candidates in the South (from Da Nang onward) who apply for admission to CAND Institutes and Universities in the North will take the exam at CAND Universities in the South.
This year, the People’s Public Security schools will apply for admission by three methods: direct admission, foreign language certification, and entrance examination combining the results of the evaluation test of the Ministry of Public Security and the high school graduation exam scores. In which, the evaluation test results of the Ministry of Public Security accounted for 60% of the total admission scores, the high school graduation exam scores of the Ministry of Education and Training accounted for 40% of the total admission scores.
